The American artist lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. After studying art, he first worked as illustrator for the American Museum of Natural History. Afterwards he began to create his own dinosaurs and other characters. Ed Heck developed his art from his passion for music and prehistoric animals. His unpretentious and simple lifestyle corresponds to his painting style, which is characterised by a reduction to the essential, spiced with a dash of smart humour. His signature feature is the shaky black outline, "Life can be fun" is his motto.
